Celebrating Success
One of the benefits of losing over 120 pounds is a renewed self esteem. I am more confident in all aspects of my life. I care more about my appearance. I enjoy shopping for and wearing new clothes. I also enjoy seeing pictures of myself now. When I was over 300 pounds, I avoided my reflection like a vampire. Now that I’m 175 pounds (I’ve lost a little more weight in the last month), I enjoy seeing what I look like after a haircut. I even treat myself to an ear/nose/eyebrow wax with every haircut. Several people have asked me how I celebrated my success. “Did you go out to dinner or cook your favorite meal?” Uh, That would be a big “no.” I celebrate my success with the things that I can do that I couldn’t do before. Are you where I was before this fitness journey began? Are you seriously overweight? Are you struggling to climb stairs, to find clothes that fit, to fit in airline seats? Do you cringe when you see yourself
in the mirror? Are you ready to accept that there is no quick fix? Are you ready to make the commitment and get fit and healthy? Do you want to have the joy that I now have? If your answer is yes to these questions, follow me here at WeddingsAndWeightLoss.com and on Instagram and Facebook. I encourage you to private message me with your questions. I want to encourage others to join me in a fitness journey.
